The high school that sends the most students to Cornell is Syosset Senior High School

The high school that sends the most students to Cornell is Syosset Senior High School — from the high schools' own published lists
The angle
    • Syosset Senior High School sends 25 students per class year to Cornell University. It is first of 228 schools whose published lists name Cornell.
    • Jericho Senior High School is second, with 24 students per class year. Seven of the top 10 schools are in New York, Cornell's own state.
    • On the acceptances side, a separate list, Bronx High School of Science (The) is first, with 83 admissions per class year.

A matriculation list is a school's own published list of where its graduates enrolled. "Per class year" means the count a school printed, divided by the class years that list covers. Both numbers sit side by side below, so a one-year list and a five-year list can be read on the same page.

    The school at the top

Syosset Senior High School is a public school in Syosset, New York. Its published list names Cornell University 25 times. The school labels that list "Class of 2025." That is one class year, so the printed total and the per-year figure are the same number: 25.

Bergen County Academies prints its counts in a column headed "COLLEGE ENROLLMENTS 2019-2022." That is four class years, and 57 students across them.

    The pattern

Most of the top 10 sits in Cornell's own state. Seven of the 10 schools are in New York. Two are in New Jersey and one is in Connecticut. The two at the top are close together: 25 students per class year, then 24.

A school that is not on this list did not publish a numbered matriculation list we could read. That is all absence means. It is never a statement about its graduates. Lists of acceptances and lists of enrollments are two different things, and they are never mixed here.

See the full board, with the top 25 and the separate acceptances section, at the Cornell feeder-schools board. The Cornell University page carries the rest of the data.

Boards as of October 2, 2026. Schools publish new lists every fall, so the live board is the current ranking.
