The high school that sends the most students to Columbia University is Regis High School

The high school that sends the most students to Columbia University is Regis High School — from the high schools' own published lists
The angle
  1. Regis High School in New York sends 9.0 students per class year to Columbia University. That is first of 157 schools whose published lists name Columbia University.
  2. Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut is second, at 7.8 students per class year.
  3. On the acceptances side, a separate list, Bronx High School of Science (The) in the Bronx is first, at 8.0 admissions per class year.

Two plain terms first. A matriculation list is a school's own published list of where its graduates enrolled. Students per class year is the count a school printed, divided by the class years its list covers. That way a one-year list and a five-year list can sit on the same page.

Regis High School in New York is first. It printed 9 students for Columbia University. The school labels its list 2022-2025. The counted column reads "Class of 2025 (number of students who matriculated from the Class of 2025)." So the figure works out to 9.0 students per class year.

The map is tight. Three of these 10 schools are in New York, Columbia's own state. Two are in Connecticut and two are in California. New Hampshire, New Jersey and Massachusetts have one each. Second place, Choate Rosemary Hall, printed 39 students for the Class of 2021-2025. Third place, St. Paul's School (NH), printed 11 in a combined two-year total column. Two rows show how the math works. Harvard-Westlake School printed 5 in its CLASS OF '25 column. Jericho Senior High School printed 4 for the Class of 2026. Each covers one class year, so the printed count is the per-year figure. Type is a column in the table, not the story here.

The acceptances board is kept apart. An enrollment list counts the graduates who went to a college. An acceptances list counts every college that admitted them. Mixing the two would compare different things, so Reach ranks them separately. On that separate board, Bronx High School of Science (The) in the Bronx, New York is first, with 8 students admitted in 2025.

A school that is not on the list did not publish a numbered matriculation list we could read. That is all absence means. It is never a statement about its graduates.

The full board carries the top 25 and the acceptances section: high schools that send the most students to Columbia University. The college page is Columbia University.

Boards as of October 2, 2026. Schools publish new lists every fall, so the live board is the current ranking.
